Representing the ultimate in function and ease of application, Rick Kendrick has improved on his original extrication device - the classic KED. Improvements over the original KED include a centred notch providing better access behind the head for padding, a wider head piece allowing for better securing if head in flexed position, the ability to fold back top area of chest flaps for well develped upper bodies and for access to electrodes, leg straps are centred for anatomical correctness, all static webbing is coated to prevent contamination, chest flaps wider at bottom for better coverage of most body types, user friendly carry with external pouch for head/chin restraints.
